Workshop performance of an opera adaptation of Octavia Butler’s Kindred for the Apollo Theater. Composed by six-time Grammy winner Billy Childs and produced by the Apollo Theater and Matthew Principe. Directed by Kimille Howard. Performed October, 2024 at The Apollo.
The Double (2022)
Composed by Vera Ivanova, produced by Synchromy, directed by Alexander Gedeon, premiered June 4, 2022 at Boston Court Pasadena. In this 40 minute opera, a troubled hero believes he has a double who is acting independently to take over his life. Ultimately, the audience is left asking if he really is paranoid, or if he can see a reality we all have missed.

HOSHI (2017)
Composed by Sato Matsui. Written for the Juilliard Opera-Comp Project. Hoshi follows a young violinist from her parents' volatile household during and after a brutal divorce to a period sixteen years later, when she tries to reunite with her long-estranged father. After traveling from her home in the United States to her father's adopted land of Manau, where he runs a home for orphans, Hoshi learns deep-seated truths about both of her parents, and wonders if she will ever be able to escape the patterns they have set for her.
